“What does wellness mean to you?” Flor Daneu’s soft voice asks in my headphones as I lie on a candlelit overlook in Los Cabos. “Maybe wellness is having time to yourself,” the co-creator of SUDA continues, as she plays soothing sounds on singing bowls. “The luxury of these days is time for you. These days are a gift for you.” Giving myself the gift of quality time in a beautiful destination is something I can definitely get on board with. And Los Cabos, at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Sur, where desert mountains meet the sea, is a pretty spectacular place to spend that time. During an immersive wellness week that includes stays at both Four Seasons properties in Los Cabos, I fully embrace the idea that luxury, too, is the gift of time for yourself. It is a welcome break from my real life, which does not normally include sunrise yoga at sea and sunset sound healing.
